Just the information I was looking for. Here are my notes:

(Throughout, use conversational tone. (me: not like wikipedia)

define your audience for this post
write outline. plus brief notes as reminders
gather reources. – paste links at top
    list seo keywords at top

write a sh*tty first draft – do not proofread or self edit
think of each header as a mini blog post.
after above, write introduction and conclusion.

now give it a day to simmer.
proofread. edit. (my note: repeat as needed. also grammar, spelling, tense, plagiarism and wordcount. keyword check)

    optional: hire editor or proofreader.

read outloud one last time before publishing (me: and check all links)

edit ruthlessly. add as needed. remove fluff. add personality (me: your voice). add media, keywords

Hi Jorden! Thank you for this and all your other videos, they are all a huge help. You mention hiring an editor to proofread your posts (and content too I assume). Can you shed any light on taking up editing as a supplement to freelancing? I feel I am probably a better editor than I am a writer.

    Thanks!!

I was just skimming through some of your videos for the inspiration I'm needing. This helped a lot. I'm in the process of writing my second blog post for my first client, ever. The business he is in is a necessity for people, but for me, the subject matter totally sucks. I'm having the hardest time trying to make this boring material interesting and helpful for the audience. Such drudgery and it feels like I'll never get it done. It was the same for the first post I wrote for him. So, I'm starting over with a clean slate using your pointers. I want this off my plate and out of my sight by tomorrow. Apparently, he likes my work, but I don't think I will take on another blog for him. It's just that I'm new at this and I didn't want to turn down an opportunity to get this show on the road. What a dumbass thing to do. Thanks, as always, for your help.
