It is widely accepted that research has not yet able to determine precisely how depression linked factors function and interact. In exploring depression info you may on occasion encounter a psychiatrist, doctor, or psychologist who has a strong and unwavering opinion as to the single definitive cause of the condition.

If this happens you should immediately question their conclusions, since most experts in the field of depression research know that a single definitive cause remains elusive, and likely will never be discovered. While this is the case there are many biological, environmental, and social risk factors that are known to influence the development of the disorder. In this informational article titled “Depression Info – Exploring Common Causes of Depression” we will focus of three environmental and social risk factors.

– Self Defeating Thoughts: This is an interesting topic in itself and certainly worth exploring further. Self defeating thoughts may have been told to us by our parents, friends, or popularized by society. Some of these thoughts might include statements like “I’m not good enough”, “I’m not pretty enough”, “It can’t be done”, or “It’s much more important to take care of others than myself”. Anyone who is subjected to messages like these regularly will eventually begin to believe them. So if you have a problem with depression, choose your social environments carefully.

– Loss of Direction: Everyone life is built to a certain degree on some type of foundation such as religious, spiritual, community based, or personal. Most of the time we are able to maintain our foundation through even the most traumatic of times. In fact it often gives us hope but sometimes our meanings or belief system fails. If this happens it is almost a given that depression will follow. A rudderless ship is almost always lost at sea.

– Feeling Alone or Unwanted: These are powerful emotions especially in the lives of seasoned citizens. While the elderly may experience these emotions more than most they certainly aren’t exclusive to that age demographic. Making attempts to deal with these emotions alone is very rarely successful and those falling into this category should reach out for help. Keep this in mind; social isolation and lack of social support are two predictors of suicide in people with severe depression.

In summary, in our article titled “Depression Info” we have just briefly covered three of the likely causes, there are many more. Additionally many people suffering from mild to moderate depression are finding comfort in the form of natural remedies. Natural remedies for depression are a safe and effective way to relieve common depression symptoms and are an option worth considering. As always natural treatments for depression should not be a substitute for professional help, especially in cases of severe or recurring depression.

It’s common to describe the causes of water pollution generically, by directly blaming specific categories of pollutant – fertilisers, pesticides, or petroleum derivatives, for example.

Another popular approach is to describe the point of origin of the water pollution in spatial terms.

This approach distinguishes surface run-off (water flushing out pollutants from a wide area) from point-source water pollution (pollution from an industrial discharge pipe, for example).

An alternative terminology for non-point and point source is direct and indirect water pollution.

Some analysis focuses on the direct threat to human health from disease-causing agents or soluble toxics in polluted water.

Finally, a few descriptive resources list human activities such as mining, forestry, construction and farming as causes of water pollution or may acknowledge that pets are a source of water pollution.

Sometimes these activities are described, interchangably, as sources of water pollution.

Of course, it’s helpful to categorise pollutants and their sources in a number of ways to enable detailed discussion about what to do about the problem of water pollution.

However, few answers to the question ‘what causes water pollution?’ explicitly acknowledge the fact that people cause water pollution.

Human agency may be the most understated cause of water pollution. Of course we pollute passively on a large scale, merely by using the systems set up for us to exist and thrive.

But it’s only rarely that a case turns up and gets sufficient publicity to remind us that we are also capable of repeated, conscious, large-scale water pollution.

We just don’t know how many one-off acts of conscious water pollution go undetected. And the names of convicted corporate defendants largely remain outside the public consiousness.

In the Chemetco case, executives made a series of conscious choices over a period of many years, to support mulitple conspicuous acts of water pollution.

There’s no way to prove exactly why they did this. Perhaps one of them will come forward one day and offer an explanation.

But it’s worth documenting exactly what they did, how many times, and how mindfully they did it.

Many ways are tried by people to deal with obesity, but knowing the causes of childhood obesity is the important thing they should know firstly over other things. Currently, people simply assume overeating as the only cause of child obesity. As the matter of fact, there are sedentary lifestyle and general physical inactivity as the other causes. Therefore, obesity can be easily got whenever the excessive calories consumption is not followed by regular exercise. And now, let’s learn more about it.Causes of childhood obesity are generally well known, not really a secret from anyone. However, there are some causes that people might not take into account. We all know about causes such as poor diet and lack of exercise, but genetics also plays a big role.

Chronic inactivity leads to unused energy being stored as fat. It is amazing and awesome that we are now in a technologically driven world; it makes life so much easier. Unfortunately, some technological advances have contributed to child obesity. Children spend too much time in front of the computer, TV and playing video games instead of getting out into the fresh air and playing ball, swimming or biking.Leisure time that was once spent outdoors playing today is replaced with video games, DVDs, and over 100 channels on the television. With a culture that embraces Hannah Montana, and Sesame Street our children are encouraged to watch their favorite television show instead of meeting friends at a local park for a ball game after school.

Lack of regular exercise is a factor that has contributed to this being one of the causes of childhood obesity. Children who spend a lot of time watching TV programs will have a greater risk of child obesity than those who go outside playing or sporting. This is typically true when the children are eating fast food while watching television or playing video games. The reason is because of a couple of hormones: ghrelin and leptin. The lack of sleep causes an increase in ghrelin which triggers the hunger mechanism. Sleep deprivation also reduces the leptin in our bodies that tells us when we are no longer in need of food (energy). The effects of these two hormones working together is what helps keep us away from the pantry. When they are off balance, people have almost no way to ward off the hunger, which of course leads to overeating and thus weight gain.

Childhood obesity, what was once shocking and disturbing has now become a fact of life, as adult obesity increased childhood obesity is growing and rapidly increasing. The numbers present a sad reality, one of five children is considered overweight, and this tendency only increases with time, childhood obesity is increasing in different ethnic groups, in both genders and all across the world.

There are numerous causes of childhood obesity. The main cause is eating more calories than the body burns through physical activity. Child obesity is often a result of nutritional, psychological, physiological, and family factors.

It is commonly known that many obese children have obese parents. This may be due to genetic reasons but most times it is a result of the parenting lifestyles.Somehoe parents are also reasponsible for their child’s obesity as keeping in touch with child and giving them a healthy diet is the responsibility of parents.

Lack of regular exercise is a factor that has contributed to this being one of the causes of childhood obesity. Children who spend a lot of time watching TV programs will have a greater risks of child obesity than those who go outside playing or sporting.

Be mindful that if an obese child develops diabetes during childhood, he or she is more likely to live a shorter life span as compared to those without diabetes. This is because diabetes is likely to build up kidney failure or heart disease or other associated effects of diabetes such as blindness.

Some study say that about 10% of people that are mildly obese was cause by psychological or stress problems. Some children have a difficult time dealing with stress so they use food as a comfort when they feel, and many children are prone to eating in response to negative emotions like being bored, feeling anxious or being angry.

They are way too young to have to worry about weight control issues at such a young age. I hope to give you, the parent, some insight on preventing this issue from exploding any further out of control, as there are many risks of childhood obesity in their coming life.

No more donuts for breakfast. Make donuts and other sweets an occasional treat.Get rid of the soda pop. Look at the calories and sugar information on one can of soda. Seriously, take a look: 100 to 200 calories per can!

Parents please watch your kids and teens actions and habits. Do not let them become couch potatoes that watch TV and play video games for hours of the day.If your kids are not too fond of having plenty of fruits and vegetables in their diet then slowly introduce it in their meals; cook with vegetables and offer fruits as snacks.

Additionally involve your family in more exercise. Take a walk together on a daily basis and create chores that require physical activity such as: taking the dog for a walk, taking out the trash, or even cleaning their room.

Your the parent and in charge not your child. This means you’re responsible for your children’s healthy eating patterns.

Air pollution is the introduction of foreign products into the atmosphere that have detrimental effects on living organisms and cause damage to the environment.

Vehicles release chemicals in the form of exhaust fumes. These chemicals are very harmful to the environment. These gases also cause acid rain which is also very damaging to the Earth.

Many industries release a lot of fumes which are harmful for the environment.

Refrigerators and air conditioners release chemicals called chlorofluorocarbons which over time, lead to the formation of holes in the ozone layer. These holes let the ultraviolet rays of the sun reach the earth and thus cause various health problems for humans.

There are many things in our homes that can cause all kinds of reactions, illnesses and conditions in people. The concern about indoor air quality is increasing with every year that goes by, and unfortunately the air quality inside of our homes has often been reported as being worse than air outside. Indoor air pollution needs to be regulated and kept under control by property owners for the safety and well being of those who live in them.

VOCs are organic chemicals that evaporate into the air and cause respiratory distress, headaches and other irritating conditions. These chemicals are released by paints, varnish, new cabinets and carpets, and even furniture that contain particle board. Also, fuels, household cleaners and air fresheners, photocopier machines, improperly vented combustion devices and many other sources also contribute to the release of these indoor air pollution substances. You can find all kinds of alternatives for things that contain these dangerous substances in regular stores, and many times the products will advertise right on the label that there are no VOCs in them.

Formaldehyde is a common organic compound that results in many different indoor air pollution problems, and it is found in glues that are used in the manufacturing and assembly of wood veneers, particle board, wood furniture, plywood and other similar products. In addition, it is also found in some spray-on insulating foams as well. These products slowly give off formaldehyde over time, which can cause headaches, a burning feeling in the throat, it can irritate the eyes and mucous membranes, and cause difficulty breathing as well as triggering asthmatic symptoms.

Sewer gas is a little bit different than carbon monoxide because it tends to give off a horrendous odor- that of rotten egg or sulfur. You’ll find this pleasant gas in well water, sewer systems, and in areas where water and other organic compounds have a lack of oxygen. If people in your household are complaining of things like smelling foul odors, having a cough, and eye and throat irritation along with shortness of breath, you may have some problems under your sinks with drain pipes and some trapped water somewhere, causing sewer gas to back up from the sewer system into your home, contributing to some nasty indoor air pollution- and other than the fact that this causes a terribly foul smelling odor, it can really have negative and detrimental effects on the health and well being of the people who live in your home, causing things like respiratory problems (asthma and allergies), skin irritations, headaches and more.

We’ve established that autism is not a vaccine related illness. What exactly do we know about how it’s caused?

Scientists are currently searching for a unifying theory of autism, and the only thing that’s clear so far is that it will need to be a complex, multi-hit hypothesis.

This is a far from comprehensive review, just a few thoughts of mine. As always, the best advice is not to be found on the Internet. A licensed physician or health care professional is always better than a blog, vlog, or forum.

Autism spectrum disorder (including Asperger syndrome)

What is Autism? Autism is now referred to as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and encompasses previously defined separate yet similar disorders like Asperger syndrome. Autism spectrum disorder is a neurodevelopmental disorder involving deficits in language, communication, and social behaviors. This video explores the previous and updated diagnostic criteria according to the diagnostic and statistical manual for mental disorders.
