How To Write Great Content – Content Marketing For Your Blog, Website, Or Ads

Content marketing is one of the most effective, cost-efficient, and all around best marketing strategies to drive leads and sales.

But the key with content marketing is understanding that your results are directly tied to the quality of your content.

So in this video I’m going to cover 5 easy to follow tips for writing great content.

Tip 1: Keep It Clear, Concise, and Focused

The most important thing you can do for your content is to keep it on point. Your potential customer found this content for a reason, whether through a search engine, or spotting a link that caught their attention.

Their goal is to learn more about the subject you’ve headlined and you owe it to them to provide it.

Tip 2: Edit, Edit, Edit

Hammering out a 2,000 word article and hitting submit just shouldn’t happen. Even Hemingway was well known for disliking his initial drafts. Break up your editing into phases.

Tip 3: Make the Content Actionable

Talking about your success is fine, but what your customers really want to know is how they can do it too. By creating actionable content, you’re giving your audience things they can try immediately.

Tip 4: Add Images

Images can take a decent post and make it great. The key to shareable content is to find relatable graphics. Using stock photos for the sole purpose of using images may look better than a completely text-based piece of content, but it’s pointless if it doesn’t benefit the reader.

According to Forbes, articles with images get 94% more views than articles without. That’s too large of a percentage to pass up on.

Tip 5: Provide Answers

No one wants to finish an article with more questions than they arrived with.

Again, people are consuming your content for a reason. Remember that with your headline, you’ve made a promise to answer their question, so you need to be sure your content provides the answers they were looking for.

The world of online article marketing is changing rapidly and in my opinion the need for human article writers, like me is almost over. Indeed, it is obvious to me that my days are numbered and I will be replaced by an artificial intelligent software program soon. The writing is on the wall or in this case; in the articles.

What I am seeing is a ton of what I believe to be Artificially Intelligent derivative work of the same author’s work. This is when a writer writes an article and then allows a software program to mix it up, adjust the sentences and put in a few synonyms and make it into five or six more. That means that an individual can increase their volume 6-fold right now today.

You can tell the difference as the articles look very much re-written, re-arranged over, and over again. Some of the article authors doing this are also part of an affiliate marketing program to sell this same software to other people too. In other words, some of those I expect doing this are also selling software to help others do it.

As a prolific online article writer, I am personally contacted at least once per month to buy such software, so I know others actually are buying and using it to create articles for online marketing purposes. Most article-submission directory sites do not realize this is occurring, and unless it is obvious, they do not seem to mind anyway.

Next time you read an article ask yourself; “Did an Actual Person Write That Online Article or was it a Computer?” Today, you might be able to tell the difference, but soon you will not as the software gets better. And I am smart enough to know I cannot compete with an artificially intelligent computer for long. Think on this.

One thing I have learned about article marketing is to have a greater chance at getting more traffic you must write more articles. I have no idea why some people spend an hour or more writing one article.

My thought on this is why are you so slow?

Because the rewards do not justify taking that long there really is no need for you to spend that much time on an article. You need to become quicker at how you write and you need to write more articles every day if you expect to compete online.

So how can you pick up the pace in your article writing efforts?

1. Start with the mechanics of how you write your articles. If you are bad at typing or you should consider purchasing the Dragon Speak and Write software.

You will also need a microphone to speak your articles into. I have also downloaded a nifty little piece of software to dictate my articles into called Article Notepad which you can get online for free.

This allows you to sit and speak your articles directly into the microphone and have them appear right in front of you on article notepad. I am doing that right now as I write this article.

Taking a typing class and learning to type faster is another thing you can do if you don’t want to dictate your articles. If can double your words per minute that means you can double the amount of articles you produce every day.

2. Become faster at finding good articles to write about. You also need to become an expert at choosing keywords for your articles. Google offers a free keyword tool to do that.

Ezinearticles.com is a great place to go and get article ideas. You might even set aside a block of time to do nothing but research article ideas and put those in the swipe file for future writing.

3. Develop an outline for your article. Make a list of everything you want to discuss in your article. You can write on a piece of paper or in a Word document so you can refer back to it when you begin writing or dictating your article.

Take the time to arrange your article in a logical sequence. This will help it flow better for your readers as well is make it easier for you to write quickly.

4. When you sit down to write focus on writing. Set a goal of knocking out an article out in 10 minutes.

If your research has been done and you are set up and ready to get started this is very doable. Don’t worry about any errors you are making as you write, because you can go back and proofread and correct those.

5. The finishing touches should just be looking back over the article to make sure everything reads well. Make any corrections such as grammar or spelling if you see any.

You can write at a faster pace if you put your mind to it.

Write a powerful first sentence to attract attention when you write your article so that the readers will be interested to read on. The best way to do this is to start off with a question or to state a fact. Entice them with powerful sentence so that they will be hungry for more information.

3. Main Contents in the Body of the Articles

This is where you will need to provide the contents of the articles and this will be answers that your readers are looking for. Your goal here is to provide an informed knowledge and information to educate your readers or to provide them with useful guide or advice on their problem. Your role here is to offer them a solution to their problems, and if possible, include some success stories or testimonials of the products. Organise your content and arrange them in a listing order for better organization of your text. This is the reason why you need to write articles to increase your web traffic.

4. End With An Action Plan

You should end your article with a high note to excite your reader to want take immediate action for quicker results. Entice them with some benefits if they take action now, and you should point them to your website and this is exactly what you should do.

5. Add a Powerful Resource Box at End of Articles

The purpose of article marketing is to add on a resource box at the end of your article so that when readers read your articles and likes your articles, he or she can get more information from your website. As you build up a good reputation in providing good and valuable contents for your readers, you indirectly driving a lot of traffic to promote your website.

Hello. Do you know how to write a basic paragraph? This is not only for ESL students. This is for everyone around the world, even if you speak English, even if you don’t speak English. This is a very, very beautiful, basic lesson on how to write small, short, beautiful paragraphs. “How to Write a Basic Paragraph”. Now, I also want you to be very careful. This is not how to write a 200-word essay for your university exam. We don’t have enough time in the world for me to teach you that, and I probably forget. So this is, very simply, how to write a basic English paragraph. One, two, three, four rules.

Rule No. 1 is: Indent, indent. What does “indent” mean? Indent, basically, means — I learned this when I was a child — you take your finger. You can have a big finger, a small finger — I don’t care. You take your finger or two fingers, and you make a little space like so. This is called an “indentation” or “indent”. So “indent” means you leave a space at the very first line of the paragraph. And that’s it. You do not leave a space at any other lines in the paragraph, only the first line. So it’s very important that you only indent the first line of your paragraph like so.

Okay. The next thing that you have to do is you have to use a capital letter at the beginning of every sentence. Now, the word that I’ve written is “I”. Another rule in English is that every single time you write “I”, it must be a capital. So I’m going to write an example sentence for you to illustrate what I mean: “I am a teacher.” Okay? This is one sentence.

So rule No. 3: At the end of my sentence, I must use a period. A “period” is a dot, if you’d like. So “I am a teacher.” So what I’m going to do is my next sentence… I’m going to begin it with a capital letter. “My” — so I want to say, “My name — My name is Ronnie.” So what I’ve done: Rule No. 1, indent. Rule No. 2, you have to use a capital letter at the beginning of every new sentence. Rule No. 3, you’re going to use a period at the end of each sentence so that the person reading your beautiful paragraph knows when to stop and take a break. For example, if I did not have a period here, I’d say, “I’m a teacher my name is Ronnie.” You need to break up your ideas. So one sentence has one thought and one period. “I am a teacher. My name is Ronnie.”

Next one. No. 4. I see this in a lot of students’ writing. The two basic things about a paragraph are the form and the content. The form is the most important. The form is the indentation. And don’t use point form. Do you know what “point form” is? If you’re typing something on Word or on an email, “point form” is also called “bullets”, which [makes shooting sounds]. So “bullet” means you would put each new sentence on a new line. So if I was to write this: “I’m a teacher”, then I would put my next sentence here. This is not how to make a paragraph. This is “point form”. So this is a bad paragraph. What I’m going to do is I’m going to write until I almost reach the end of the page. Don’t write past the end of the page because then you’re writing on the desk and it gets messy. So “I am a teacher. My name is Ronnie. I live — so I’m going to use up all of my line until the end — I live in Canada.” What would you like to know about Canada? “Canada is very cold.” In the winter. So as you can see by my example, I only stop my sentence at the end of my paper. I don’t use each sentence on each line.

So four basic things to remember when you’re writing a basic English paragraph. The first one is: Indent the first line of your paragraph only. Use a capital letter at the beginning of each new line or each new sentence. And use a period at the end. Also, don’t forget: Don’t use point form. “I am a teacher. My name is Ronnie. I live in Canada. Canada is very cold. Go to ‘Subscribe’ on YouTube so you can find more great lessons like this.” Goodbye.
