Says science shouldn't be politicised, comments agree. Entire video is a political ad. lol?

This video literally brought me to tears. I love science and care about it so much. The fact that people are ignorant of reality physically hurts me.

  10. Genaro Ian says:

This is worrisome, and what is more troublesome is that pseudoscientific ideas and views like the earth is flat are more and more widespread, and with it, theey are going against basic scientific facts. :(

  11. Jose Fabian says:

What makes me sad is that so many scientists think the state is the way to fix things, where we can't even trust state with a checking account.

  12. Luke Lamarra says:

    I love science ;)

  13. Jared Neumann says:

Please, please, PLEASE read a book on the history of science. This video promotes historical inaccuracies that have been dismissed for nearly a century.

  14. ‫سارة سلمان (‪SarahSalman‬‏)‬‎ says:

Unfortunately, the science became influenced by our society.

  15. Harisha Kosanam says:

all of this really serious stuff then…… "subscribe for more weekly science videos" HAHAHAHAHAHA

  16. anlacombe says:

a lot of the 'rejection of' or 'war on' science is about media campaigns that try to put forth particular view points.. personal view points about the nature of society will cause people to reject scientifically reached points of view.. I dont think its just that science is being rejected, its just not understood, its the conclusions that are being rejected not science itself, but the end effect is the same, the baby is being thrown out with the bath water, so to speak. Science and reasoning isn't ingrained in our children in the same way that they are taught to uphold certain beliefs about the economy or religion, neither of which has certainty behind them even though people will act and believe like they do

  17. Balidor says:

Sorry guys, but it is NOT "Society vs Science", it is "Relegion vs Science"…. just to be correct. I guees you are just being polite and i respect that.

  18. Tony Hart says:

All I have to say is that Ireland is not part of the U.K.

  19. Ardail Coffey says:

I do agree that we do need science and the advancement of ideas and technology
But I wouldn't really say rome was destoryed because of a lack of science >.>
It was more because they couldn't fuel the beating heart of rome with conquest of new regions to fuel their empire, amongst other things in a big long list

I may sound like a horrible person for saying it, but human beings have to have conflict to survive as a society, otherwise we start to tear ourselves apart. You see it all the time in the elections, opinionated in their ideals, with all those as foes to be conquered by their vastly superior intellect and reasoning.

We are the Phoenix people. We as a species have a desire to burn ourselves through conflict and destruction to be reborn stronger then ever. It's why revolutions happen, it's the human way of "switching out the filters for a clean new one"
