You’re Pro-Life? So Abolish The Death Penalty Too

Wednesday, December 6, 2017

Over the weekend, the GOP-controlled Texas legislature approved a contentious anti-abortion bill that has inspired weeks of protest during two special legislative sessions. At the end of last month, state Sen. Wendy Davis (D) attempted to block the legislation with a dramatic 13-hour filibuster — but the Democratic minority was ultimately unable to prevent the measure from passing in a second special session.

  1. shady morsi says:

Yea because Killing innocent babies is the same as killing murderers and thugs

    Looney Left

  2. J duncan says:

i cant compare the two but i would rather ban abortion if that means banning death penalty so be it. because the life of a child is more important than my tax money. i just hope that innocence prevails over the petty "gotta get mine". lawyer style of thinking

  3. TheRemainingFaithful says:

Abolish abortion first, THEN we can talk about abolishing the death penalty.

  4. Dubba Trubba says:

How can you be against the death penalty but be for abortion?

  5. Aegis Brick says:

If you think "wel dwth penalty are a bunch of murderers", there are plenty of death penaltys that are charged. Look at some cases were cops will incriminate victims, they get murdered, and a decade later on the cops death bed he confesses. Or look at the racial charge death penalties, and if you don't believe that, research cases of the sort. The Mumia case is a great way to start. I support getting rid of murderers, rapists, and scumbags aswell, but let's realize that you can't exactly determine who is evil in a fucking legal system that is essentially run on evil.

  6. Kaylynnlove says:

Semantics. Even though I am anti death penalty, everyone knows there is a huge difference between killing murderous scum and killing completely innocent living beings.

  7. jcr4runner says:

Because I am not "pro-life" — I am pro-LAW. It's not "game set match" because you don't understand God's law. The Hebrew is not "You shall not kill" — It is "You shall not MURDER." God's law requires that we execute rapists. That's an exception for "killing."  God's law requires that we take care of the innocent weak — such as unborn children. You claim NOT to defend murderers, but you defend rapists and attack the victim of the crime. Hypocrite!

  8. Jack Mehoff says:

Kill an innocent human baby but spare the guilty murderers? Liberal agenda go!

  9. Genesis Real info Report. says:

Repubs are the biggest phony suckers!!

  10. Sylvain Thibeault says:

A small percentage of the fetuses "saved" from abortion will commit murder and wind up on death row. Imagine if Hitler's mom had had an abortion. China puts women in jail for abortion, and the Republicans will want to do the same, don't kid yourselves.

  11. Connor C says:

About time someone asked this. Booyah.

  12. Secular Talk says:

    haha

  13. Joshua Sager says:

Kyle, the GOP isn't hypocritical in regard to abortion and the death penalty–in both cases, they support THEIR CHOICE to decide who is required to stay pregnant and who is legally killed by the state (usually racial minorities).

  14. Omar Peoples says:

what if the mother finds out shes going to die after 20 weeks?

  15. Omar Peoples says:

o wait i just refuted myself

  16. Omar Peoples says:

    especially if you get raped

  17. Omar Peoples says:

how the hell can you not decide before 20 weeks?

  18. SàiGònMan says:

I'm very much pro-choice and in some cases fervently pro-abortion, however, in fairness there is quite a difference between ending the life of a fetus and that of a murderous psychopath.

  19. Christian Arias-Sanchez says:

    They took our jobs !

  20. Azure76 Z says:

    awesome.

  21. General Townes says:

    Americans will kill themselves.

  22. Justin Osborne says:

The death penalty should only apply to psychopathic mass murderers.

  23. SomeRandom Dude says:

Death penalty should be applied to murderers and pedophiles, this will make them think twice before acting. If you are a murderer or a pedophile then you simply have no place in this world.

  24. TaeHasUs ._. says:

For once, I thought death penalty was RIGHT…..
But when I saw a person being executed i Thought it was wrong to get other people's lives no matter how cruel they are.

  25. Jhul Vincent Calabia says:

death penalty is the only method of how to deal with the worthless people a waste of space that must be remove.

  26. DoMaN says:

The death penalty is good. Can people reply with why it's wrong please, I'm doing a project in school talking about it.

  27. Moneca Tremans says:

I believe people that commit crimes deserve to suffer in prison but the death penalty lets them basically escape their problems and die an immoral and inhumane death which also sends a wrong message the the younger generation

  28. Mihailius Rex says:

Death penalty is a cruel satanic method to "lower the criminality " though this even rise the criminality level due to the thirst of revenge against the judges who decided this thing and even against the executioners. And also only God can decide who can die or who will be just inprisoned for real (less or more) and if we think a little the executioners are also murderers. Another reason is that the costs are TOO big and I consider this a waste of money. The can just exile them instead of killing them.

  29. SalmanTheDon says:

that dumb kid said death penalty cost more than imprisonment!!!

  30. CaptainMarvelThunder says:

If you believe that it is wrong for murders to be put to death because it is hypocritical, do you believe that it is wrong to imprison (holding someone against their will) kidnappers (people that hold others against their will)?

If I were to destroy a piece of your property that was cost you $3,000, would it be wrong for me to be forced into me repaying you the money (this would cost me $3,000). How are you any better than me you have intentionally taken something from me that I took from you.

Justice should be and eye for an eye, anything less is not justice.

  31. Sidi Haroun says:

and    one     does    a    thing  agaisnst    another  that  is  just  proving that  this    world  is  material   and  it  ISNst.    We  do  not  jhave  material    bodies.  Leave  others alone  and  be  left  alone  and  go      practice zazen        for  24  hours  straight  and  more.

  32. Sidi Haroun says:

ALL  killing  is  always wrong!  No  matter  what  or  for  what  reason.  ALWAYS  Same as  all corporeal  punishment  is  wrong  no  matter  how  major  or  minor  to  children and  to  all  sentient  beings.  AHIMSA  to  the  maxium  extreme.   Homiicide  Suicde   Death  Penalty      Is  always  wrong.

  33. FrozenSilurian Productions says:

No, they should be given time to get help and reform so that they can become better human beings

  34. KratosLink says:

    The death penalty is right.

  35. zach619 says:

If you're going to question the power of the state, then we might as well question the state's ability to lock someone in a cage the rest of their lives. Why do they have that power? Because punishment is earned based on one's actions.

The family of the executed person should understand that their family member earned everything that's coming to them. They should understand the concept of taking responsibility for your actions and facing the consequences. And if they don't, too bad for them.

  36. zach619 says:

Locking someone up for life does not have the same effect as killing someone responsible for heinous acts because they still have the ability to enjoy life and be happy, regardless of how little happiness it is, that is far too good for these death penalty recipients. If they had to truly suffer, pain every single day the rest of their lives, then I would be all for life imprisonment but American prisons are far too cozy for people like that. It's too good for them.

  37. zach619 says:

Justice will never be served in a case that the death penalty applies. In these cases, such horrific acts have been committed on the victim(s) by the perpetrator that they will always remain and hurt those who care, or I should say CARED, about the victim(s) because they no longer exist. The hell their victims experience in their final moments alive will always remain regardless of whether they're dead or alive. But why should their killer be allowed to continue breathing and experiencing life?

  38. m umar says:

dude people will not get your point here trust me even though you are right

  39. Maxime says:

Why do people murder ? Can't you imagine a situation where you feel the urge another ? Life should not be taken because of one mistake made in ones life

  40. john lucas says:

DEATH PENALTY MUST BECOME A REALITY BECAUSE THINK OF IT LIKE THIS IF I WERE A CRIMINAL AND I GO TO JAIL I JUST THINK TO MYSELF I WILL BE OJT IN NO TIME IF IM DEAD I CANT CONTINUE THESE CRIMES THE LESS DOUCHE BAGS IN THIS WORLD THE BETTER LIFE WILL BE PLUS PEOPLE WILL BE TOO SCARED TO EVEN ATTEMPT TO DO A CRIME IF THEY KNOW THEY MIGHT BE AUTOMATICALLY KILLED FOR IT JUST SAYIN
